Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of LocalBazaar. Please read them carefully before shopping or selling on the platform.

1. Use of the service

LocalBazaar is an online marketplace that connects shoppers with nearby sellers of groceries, properties, stationery and home appliances across India. By accessing or using the platform you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

You must be at least 18 years old, or use the platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, to place an order or register as a seller.

  • Provide accurate account and delivery information at all times.
  • Do not use the platform for unlawful, fraudulent or misleading activity.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.

2. Seller obligations

Sellers are independent businesses responsible for the products they list. LocalBazaar provides the storefront, order flow and support tools, but does not manufacture or own the listed goods.

  • List only products you are legally permitted to sell, with accurate descriptions and images.
  • Maintain truthful stock levels and honour confirmed orders.
  • Comply with all applicable Indian laws, including GST and consumer-protection requirements.
  • Respond to buyer and support queries within the timelines communicated by LocalBazaar.

3. Orders and payments (INR)

All prices on LocalBazaar are displayed in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay.

An order is confirmed only after successful payment authorisation and seller acceptance. LocalBazaar may cancel an order if a product becomes unavailable, if pricing is found to be incorrect, or if fraud is suspected — in which case any amount already paid is refunded.

  • Payments are processed in INR through supported payment methods.
  • Coupon discounts, delivery fees and taxes are itemised at checkout.
  • You are responsible for any charges levied by your bank or payment provider.

4. Delivery

Delivery timelines are estimates based on the seller's location, product availability and your delivery address. Delays caused by weather, logistics partners or events beyond our control may occur.

Please ensure someone is available at the delivery address to receive the order. Repeated failed delivery attempts may result in the order being returned and a refund issued for the product value.

5. Returns and refunds

Return eligibility depends on the product category and condition. Perishable goods such as fresh groceries are generally not returnable unless they arrive damaged or incorrect.

  • Report damaged, missing or incorrect items within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Returned items must be unused and in their original packaging where applicable.
  • Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method within 5–7 working days.

6. Privacy

We collect only the information needed to operate the marketplace — such as your name, contact details, delivery addresses and order history. This information is used to fulfil orders, provide support and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared with sellers and logistics partners only to the extent required to complete your order, and is handled in accordance with applicable Indian data-protection law.

  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data.
  • Sign-in is secured through a decentralised identity provider; we never store your password.
  • Cookies are used only for essential functionality and session management.
